It's that time of the year again where everyone is starting to receive their much anticipated Girl Scout Cookies!
I fully support the Girl Scouts and all that they stand for(Boy Scouts too!) but I am not so much a fan of their un-healthy little cookies. Having been a Daisy, Brownie and Girl Scout myself, of coarse I was as a huge fan of these having grown up on them, both selling and indulging!
Thin mints, Trefoils and Samoas were my all-time favorites.
To this day, I still get involved with current troupes teaching them how to cook easy, healthy meals in order for them to earn their cooking badge!
As you well know, I love to create, re-create and develop many recipes from scratch. I have been spending the last few weeks working on an original Smoothie Guide that I will soon be announcing where it can be obtained.
As I've had Girl Scouts on the mind, I thought it would be a great time to incorporate a Thin Mint-esque smoothie! I would love for you to make this yourself and let me know your feedback on it!
Via’s GirlScout-esque Thin Mint Cookie Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup ice
1 cup vanilla coconut milk
1 serving Amazing Grass Chocolate Greens Powder
1 scoop vanilla vegan protein powder
2 tbl spoons coacao powder
1 tbl spoon chocolate chips
1 tsp camu berry
8 drops mint flavoring
*tip – add wet ingredients in before powders to avoid clumping
